Daily Calendar

Don't keep anything for special occasions,
because every day you live is a special occasion.

Sit on your front porch or a favorite place at home
and admire the
view without paying attention to your needs.
Spend more time with your family and friends.
Eat your favorite foods and visit the places you love.

Don't save your best perfume,
use it every time you feel you want it.

Remove from your vocabulary
phrases like one of these days and someday.
Write that letter you've thought about writing.

Don't delay anything that adds laughter and joy to your life.
Every day, every hour, and every minute is special.
You never know when it will be your last.

Soak wrinkled apples in a mildly
salted water solution to perk them up.

Rub salt on your pancake griddle
and your flapjacks won't stick.

Soak toothbrushes in salt water before you
first use them; they will last longer.

Use salt to clean your discolored coffee pot.

6 cups freshly popped popcorn
2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Cheerios
1 cup salted peanuts
1/2 cup butter or oleo
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Mix popcorn, Rice Chex, Cheerios and peanuts in a large bowl.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter in a large saucepan;
stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Heat slowly, stirring
constantly, to boiling. Cook without stirring another 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla. Drizzle over
popcorn mixture and toss until evenly coated. Spoon scramble
into a shallow pan and bake, stirring several times, for
1 hour. Cool in a tightly covered container.
