The Daisy - my favorite flower ...

Nadine Stair quotes:

"If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot

earlier in the Spring and stay that way later in the Fall.

I would go to more dances. I would ride more

merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies."

Drew Barrymore quotes:
"Daisies are like sunshine
to the ground."

Quoted by James Montgomery

"The rose has but a Summer reign,
the daisy never dies."

Smile
It makes a world of difference.

Dance
Who knows when you wont be able to.

Cry
Holding those emotions in is bad for you.

Kiss
Kisses are the most wonderful things in the world.

Laugh
Whats the point in hiding happiness?

Frown
Why not let him know you're unhappy?

Apologize
You don't wanna lose friends.

Hug
Theres no better feeling being wrapped up close to someone you love.

Live
Because life is everything.

Thoughts and prayers continue for those

who were in the path of our recent hurricane Irene.

May recovery and hardship lighten each day.

Long before meteorologists, people made

forecasts based on their observations

of animals, flowers, and nature.

Plenty of acorns indicate a severe winter.
Thin onion skins mean a mild winter.
The shape of persimmon seeds predicts winter weather.

Swallows flying near the ground and robins coming near the house mean rain or wind.
Old-timers even used a goose breastbone to predict winter!
