Blue is known for its soothing and harmonious character and is now the favourite color of many.
Blue is the colour of the sky and the ocean, it has a calming effect and it is considered to be one of the most profound colors. It can be steadfast or light or friendly.
Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms, It's a great bedroom color as it slows the human nervous system and produces a calming effect that prepares the body to nod off to sleep.
It can soften bright rooms, making one feel comforted and at peace. On the other hand, certain blues can make the viewer feel cold and depress. Blues that are too dark have the same effect as black.
Blue is the color of logic, activates the mind
Blue conveys trust, peace and order, it could be considerd safe. Dark navy is often associated with authority and law and order, many police forces use navy for their uniforms.
Medium shades of blue, such as cornflower, lapis and sapphire are all great colors to brighten up your wardrobe throughout the year.
The lighter shades such as powder blue, bluebell and sky blue make wonderful colors for special occasion when a feminine look may be required. Team with darker shades such as navy and grey, they become great colors for shirts and top.
Blue is the least "gender specific" color, having equal appeal to both men and women
We could never learn to be brave and patient
if there were only joy in the world.
~ Helen Keller
Learn patience; through patience we come
to respect time and its passage,
and we are mellowed.
Learn tolerance; through tolerance our appreciation
of another's individuality is nurtured.
Learn self-respect; self respect prepares you to contribute
more freely to your experiences, and it is then
you find your wholeness.
Life's travels are your opportunities for lasting, enriching joy.
All the rough spots deepen your understandings. And these
help you to bring joy to the lives of
friends near and dear.
