There is wonder in the moment, if you but look for it,
let it touch you, believe in it. And with the recognition
and celebration of the wonder comes the
joy we desire and await and always hope for.
We all learn out of necessity. And when we as the student feel
ready - the teacher will appear.
Suffering softens us, helps us to feel more compassion and love
toward another. Our sense of belonging to the human race,
our recognition of the interdependence and kinship of
us all, are the most cherished results of the gift of pain.
Freedom to live, to grow, to experience your full capabilities is as
close as your faith. Cling only to that and discover the love
that's truly in your heart and the hearts of your loved ones.
Full Strawberry Moon—June 15
The month of June’s full Moon name is the Full Strawberry Moon,
named because the Algonquin tribes knew it as a signal to gather
ripening fruit.
Father’s Day—June 19
This Sunday is Father’s Day. Like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day
has a
modern origin. The idea came to Mrs. John Dodd as she listened to a
Mother’s Day sermon in 1910. She proposed to the Spokane Ministerial
Association and the YMCA that they celebrate a “father’s day.” It
became a permanent national holiday in 1972.
