Christmas Front Porch
Today's
Christmas Room
These pictures that I will post under this heading
are from a person on one of my mailing lists.
This is their home and I understood from the note that
they decorate like this each year - wow! These rooms look
so cozy! Here is the first one. Enjoy looking, I did!
I quote others to better express myself
~ Barbara Bush quoted:
At the end of your life you will never regret not having passed
one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing
one more deal. You will regret time not spend with a
husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.
~ Mrs. D.E. Clay quoted:
Sometimes it is necessary for us to speak.
At other times it is important that we be quiet.
Wisdom comes with knowing the difference.
~ Anne Johnson Flint quoted:
But God has promised strength for the day,
rest for the labor, light for the way,
grace for the trials, help from above,
unfailing sympathy, undying love.
~ Louisa May Alcott quoted:
I am not afraid of storms, for I am
learning how to sail my ship.
~ Marian Wright Edelman quoted:
We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big
difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which,
over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.
Christmas Holiday Tree Brownies
1 box (1 lb 2.4 oz) Betty Crocker® Original
Supreme Premium brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on
brownie mix box
2 or 3 drops green food color
2/3 cup Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla
frosting (from 16 oz container)
Betty Crocker® Decorating Decors red and
green candy sprinkles or miniature candy-coated chocolate baking bits
Miniature candy canes (2 inch), unwrapped
- Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 9-inch square pan with foil so foil extends about 2 inches over sides of pan. Grease bottom only of foil with cooking spray or shortening.
- Make and bake brownie mix as directed on box. Cool completely, about 1 1/2 hours. Remove brownie from pan by lifting foil; peel foil away. To cut brownie into triangles, cut into 3 rows. Cut each row into 5 triangles. Save smaller pieces for snacking.
- Stir food color into frosting. Spoon frosting into small resealable food-storage plastic bag; partially seal bag. Cut off tiny bottom corner of bag. Squeeze bag to pipe frosting over brownies. Sprinkle with decors.
- Break off curved end of candy cane; insert straight piece into bottoms of triangles to make tree trunks.

Happy Monday everyone. More rain here in Ohio right now, but glad it is
not in the form of snow. That will come soon enough. I have lots of inside things
to keep me busy today. Some of you are placing candy orders with
us and my day will include getting all those goodies ready and shipped
out! Thanks to everyone who has ordered and are trying our caramels
and peanut clusters! They do make great gifts. Appreciate it!
I do hope you had a good weekend. Mine was very good and Mom
and I did very good at the craft and bake bazaar.
It is fun as you really do meet and get to chat with a lot of nice people,
and those church ladies made the best hot chicken sandwiches!
On another note - the number of my page views just keeps going up
in count - sometimes it is truly overwhelming to me just how many
view my creations. So, if you have shared, thank you so much. I don't know of
anyone who could not use more inspiration in their day(s).
Here is wishing you a good day - thanks for joining me, and I hope you
will return tomorrow. Be safe, and always aware of
everything and everyone around you.
