Hello everyone - welcome to the season of Winter.
While I am not a huge fan of Winter anymore, it
has become more bearable since I retired and don't
have to go out in the cold bad weather - or deal
with all the 911 calls, accidents and just hardships
that happen during this season.
I will continue the
Precious Moments 12-days
of Christmas and Christmas
rooms tomorrow.
With that being said, button up and
throw another log on the fire as I
share all the wintery things I found, and pick
the beat up with the music playing. ENJOY!
December 22—Winter Solstice
Winter begins this Thursday at 12:30 A.M. EST.
The word solstice is derived from the Latin sol,
or “Sun,” and stitium, or “stoppage.” After the solstice,
the darkest day of the year, the days will start getting
a little longer! Enjoy solstice facts, folklore, and photos!

~ Marion Garretty
We are so very rich if we know just a few people
in a way in which we know no others.
~ Catherine Bramwell-Booth
Nothing great was ever done without much enduring.
~ Catherine Of Sienna
Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting
charm of a gentle and quiet spirit
which is so precious to God.
~ 1 Peter 3:4 TLB
If it can be verified, we don't need faith ..... faith is for that which
lies on the other side of reason. Faith is what makes life
bearable, with all its tragedies and ambiguities
and sudden, startling joys.

Christmas
Kitchen Casserole
Note from a person who has prepared this dish:
She writes, "This is one of my favorite breakfast recipes
for Christmas. I even prepare it the night before so while
we are opening our gifts, it bakes in the oven.
This way, I can enjoy what
Santa brought to our home!"
