Old Gas Stations of the 20's
#8

I do apologize!
Sorry I have forgotten to continue on with these the
past several issues, but here ya go - and no gas today!
Guess we need tires, check it out!

Here we have Lehman's Tire Shop.
None other than Barney Oldfield tires for
only $9.99 each! Sounds kind of expensive to me. :)
Note the water can by the side of the road?
And what is up with the barricades around
the trees? I guess people may have just drove
up on the sidewalk to get their tires and
those trees were in the way. LOL!

"The inner side of every cloud is bright and shining;
I therefore turn my clouds about, and always wear
them inside out, to show the lining."

~ Ellen T Fowler

The sky is that beautiful old parchment in which the
sun and the moon keep their diary.
~Alfred Kreymborg

The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone,
but also on trees, and in the flowers
and clouds and stars.

~ Unknown

When we look up, it widens our horizons.
We see what a little speck we are in the universe,
so insignificant, and we all take ourselves so
seriously, but in the sky, there are no boundaries.
No differences of caste or religion or race.
~Julia Gregson

PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH COOKIES

2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup JIF® Creamy Peanut Butter

2 tablespoons honey

1 cup powdered sugar

1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated peanut butter cookies

3/4 to 1 cup Fisher® Honey Roasted Dry Roasted Peanuts, coarsely chopped

In large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter and honey with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add powdered sugar; beat just until smooth. Cover; refrigerate at least 1 hour while baking and cooling cookies.

Heat oven to 350°F. Make cookies as directed on package. Cool completely.

Spread 1/3 cup cream cheese mixture on bottom of 1 cookie; top with another cookie, bottom side down. Press cookies together slightly so cream cheese mixture just extends past edges of cookies. Roll edge of cream cheese mixture in chopped peanuts to generously coat. Repeat with remaining cookies.

Serve immediately, or store in single layer tightly covered in refrigerator up to 4 hours (cookies stored longer become very soft).

Wow, a lot of you emailed and several notes were left in my
guest book yesterday regarding my page for the 7th. It seem to just flow
together for me and who does not like to look at smiles? I could not imagine
either, anyone not enjoying looking at those two granddaughter's
smiles. Thanks for all the compliments and comments. They
sure touched my day and gave me another dose of inspiration to
continue what I do here. Thanks again! Now, do have a great day. It
is to be 70 degrees here in OHIO with sunny skies and just a
few clouds. Another bike ride for sure as beginning tomorrow we are
in for a cool down and rain. I think today will usher our Indian Summer out.
Be safe, and always aware of everything and everyone around you.
Join me again tomorrow - please do share my pages with friends,
family and groups. Thank YOU!
