The days are getting shorter
The sun rises later and sets earlier as
the days progress from mid to late October.
Daylight hours will be shortened by about
three minutes per day, which results
in nearly a half hour per week.
Fall dates range from
September 21st thru November 21st
Rewards are always forthcoming
when we remain honest.
Pray for wisdom today.
Expect wisdom, not problems,
and the day will smoothly slip by.
Loving others means going beyond our own selfish concerns,
for the moment, and putting others' concerns first.
The result is that others feel our love.
They feel a caring that is healing and therefore
our hearts are likewise soothed.
Life is not always what one wants it to be,
but to make the best of it as it is,
is the only way of being happy.

Creamy Carnation Frosting
6 Tbs. butter, softened
5-1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup Nestle Carnation evaporated milk
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Beat butter and powdered sugar in large mixer
bowl until creamy. Add
evaporated milk and vanilla extract; mix
until smooth. Makes 3 cups.
