Halloween for me is not about celebrating something bad or evil. It is all about having fun, dressing up and enjoying the candies, treats and all the fun baked goods of the season. When I was young we always had our UNICEF cartons with us to collect pennies on begger's night. Soaping windows was bad. I have fond memories of the best Halloween parties and going after those apples in a large pail and getting soaking wet. To me - that is what it was and is all about - and if you got scared along the way - well that was fun too. And our Halloween parade at school was always exciting for all the kids and adults involved. It is what you make it and nothing more - and that is just something I am entitled too - my opinion.
I hope you have enjoyed my Halloween page. As we say goodbye to the month of October today, please do join me tomorrow as I welcome in the month of November and thoughts turn to Thanksgiving and what it means.
I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good and we did cancel our trip to Pennsylvania to visit the memorial I spoke of on Friday due to the Winter storm that impacted that area. I pray power will be restored soon for all who are still without. I sure hope this is not a preview of what is yet to come for our Winter months. Ewww! Enjoy today, be safe and always aware of everything and everyone around you.
I'm a good witch - LOL!
